Vigilant Global donation purchases clinical care equipment for The Neuro

Montreal, QC – April 9, 2014 – The Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital - The Neuro, at McGill University and the McGill University Health Centre, announced today that it received an important donation from Montreal-based Vigilant Global to purchase urgently needed clinical care equipment. The donation allowed The Neuro to acquire seven portable vital sign monitors which have far-reaching implications for the quality of care provided to patients.

“Vigilant Global’s much appreciated donation allows The Neuro to provide a continuous monitoring option for patients whose care requires close and sustained attention. Our clinical staff is both dedicated and passionate, but they also rely on technology to help them provide the best care possible,” said Dr. Guy Rouleau, Director of The Neuro.

The technology firm has a history of helping The Neuro. In 2012, Vigilant Global’s R&D team donated their time each week to help The Neuro expand upon its data acquisition software for use with a new medical device testing the motor skills in patients suffering from neurological disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.
