Montreal, QC – October 16, 2013 TEDxYouth@Montreal, an organization that holds events designed to empower and inspire young people, announced its sponsors for its upcoming second annual event geared towards youth aged 11 to 17. The event will take place on November 16 and will coincide with both Universal Children’s Day and TEDx Youth Day where countless similar events will take place worldwide that weekend.

“We are thrilled to see so many Montreal-area companies take an interest in helping shape young minds. Their generous sponsorship together with the work of our devoted volunteers make this possible,” said Louise Bucheit, Co-Producer and Co-Curator of TEDxYouth @Montreal.

TEDxYouth@Montreal brings together speakers from various fields and subject matters but who share a common vision. This year’s theme is “The Spark” (watch the video) and each speaker will endeavour to inspire curiosity through short “talks” to a packed audience.

“This event is an incredible opportunity to engage young people and instill in them a love of lifelong learning. As huge fans of TED talks, it was an easy decision to sponsor TEDxYouth@Montreal since we have also sponsored TEDx Montreal in the past,” said Arvind Ramanathan, Co-Founder and Director of Vigilant Global.

The event will take place at l’Ermitage at Collège de Montreal on November 16 from 1 – 6 PM For more information on attending the event or to learn about the day’s speakers, please visit www.tedxyouthmontreal.com.
